The Month of April {at-a-glance}

Well April is shaping up to be a busy month already! I knew it would be though -- I have a birthday on the horizon {to plan for -- not mine}, an out-of-town guest coming, Spring Cleaning {which is why you see so many mops & buckets on my calendar}, painting, and of course, SEWING -- and I actually think I will be able to sew that many days in a row?! Yea, right!!
And what am I doing instead of cleaning?! Blogging on my newly renovated blog! LOL...that's about right :) I just can't seem to help myself...this stuff is addictive....but, alas, I must tear myself away and get to cleaning up/cleaning out....and painting later -- FUN, FUN, Fuuuunnnn.....or not!

Blog Changes and How-to Tutorials

Wow! I stayed up until about 5 a.m. this morning working on this blog! :) I think at some point in time I got a little addicted and just pushed through the sleepy-eye syndrome that was kicking in at about 2 a.m. -- nonetheless, I must say that I am SUPER happy with how it all turned out! I was very surprised out how well it turned out and even more surprised that I could do it! I feel like Rosie the Riveter {GIRL POWER!}...LOVE it!

I did not {and still don't} have a Coding for Dummies book -- and opted to attempt to "google" some help for my re-vamping of the blog. This baby has tons of features that I didn't think I could make all by myself -- but, I found a GREAT and INFORMATIVE blog that helped me along the way....and I wanna say THANK YOU SO MUCH for providing this stuff for folks like me! So, I am passing these sites on:

To find out how to make my "Grab a Button" button over there....I went here: http://3kidsandus.com/2009/blog-buttons-how-to-create-a-grab-my-banner-box/ Thank you so much Cat :)

To find out how to make my background....I went here:
http://www.sweetnsassygirls.com/2009/02/how-to-make-your-own-blog-design.html

Trisha {from the above link} also has plenty more tutorials on there as well -- like how to add a signature {like the one at the end of this post}, how to add a favicon {which I haven't done yet}, and how to make a Navigation Bar....GREAT stuff -- THANK YOU :)

FINALLY...Sorry this is so long....I used two different talented designers for the elements that I used to create the logo, background, and other items....one is Shabby Princess and the other is Cocoa Studios {she made the little elephant}.

Have a WONDERFUL day :)

Tinkerbell Couture

Who doesn't LOVE Tink?! Personally, my favorite Tinkerbell was Julia Roberts in Hook, but, I happen to just LOVE the little cartoon fairy {yep, I even have PJ'S in a Tink motif}!

So, we are showin so fairy LOVE at MintTulip --- we have a Tink Halter Top and Pants set available for a short time only -- and at a sale price right off the bat :) -- gotta love that!

This Halter is slightly different than the other tops that we have made in the past as it has a SHIRRED back {what does "shirred back" mean? just a fancy way of saying it has elastic running through the back so it's stretchy}. Check it out in the shop and lemme know what you all think!

Thanks,
Kate :)

Can't wait to see her in these and the White Pants....:)

Check them out when you get the chance....

Ok, so I know it's been a while since I posted anything -- no excuses just been busy-- and I wanted to share with you all a GREAT gift that my mom got me for my birthday!

It's called a PUFFY POUCH -- from another seller on Etsy. Yep, we do a lot of shopping on Etsy as well ;).....Anyway, this POUCH is just AWESOME!! I LOVE it! And now I see that she has Hello Kitty and more Kawaii available -- I am exercising self control by not getting all of them!!

Here is the one I got:

Don't be fooled by it's little size -- this baby holds just about everything I need -- Credit/Debit cards, money, lip gloss, etc....and the craftsmanship is excellent too! O -- and did I mention that it only cost $8.00?!?! What a steal!! Check out her shop....CLICK HERE
